Beej is the Founder of PADWA

Beej is a mum of 2, a sibling of 6, a typical Gemini, lover of daggy things, but passionate and loyal and an oversharer.

She is Perth born and raised however spent many years living in London. Beej studied dance at the Helen Mackay school of Dance from age 3 until age 19 where she completed her CSTD exams in tap and jazz up to student teacher and also her RAD exams in Classical ballet. During this time she assisted teaching junior students for exams and concerts. She was successful in competitions and appeared on Perth’s Young Entertainers.

At 19 years old Beej left dance to join the Police force where she graduated with Academic honours in the academy and highest achiever in the Detective training course. She worked as a Detective at the Child abuse, Sexual assault squads and worked on the Claremont serial killers  case interviewing  victims and witnesses. Missing a creative outlet whilst working a stressful job Beej returned to dance, she returned with Shirley Farrell School of Dance after Helen Mackay had sadly passed from cancer.

When living in London she attended the Pineapple Performing Arts Studios. She has completed her Bachelor or Arts Psychology Major. She also worked for Rio Tinto Mining as a Human resources & Recruitment  advisor for 6 years,  which is  a valuable asset in her business as a Talent Management Agency. Passionate about helping others, she has worked with charities over the years to raise a significant amount of money for Cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute www.perkins.org.au

She became re-united with her passion for dance Via the Helen Mackay 20th reuinion and fundraiser for cancer.

This re connection with dancers inspired a chain of events that lead her to become friends with Music theatre Star Rachael Beck and Australian ballets Leanne Stojmenov. She created specialist workshops to dance schools and a surprising business model started to emerge. Always up for something new, PADWA was formed in 2016 and since then she hasn’t looked back.

Beej is proud of the business, her clients and the achievements, but her greatest achievement are her 2 children Dempsey and Taylor.

Shannon is THE Talent Coordinator at PADWA

Talent Coordinator at PADWA and proud mum of three young performers who’ve landed roles in TV commercials, film, and television, including The Twelve.

My own journey into the industry began in 2011 with a reality TV experience alongside my now-husband. That cured me of reality drama and sparked a love for professionally scripted work and helping others find joy and success in it.

With over 20 years' experience as a Senior Contracts Advisor in mining, I bring strong skills in negotiation, fairness, and contract management to every client interaction. I’ve also worked on set as both a performer and Extras Coordinator, supporting talent of all ages and experience levels.

I’m approachable, kind, and always available by phone or email. I’m here to make your experience in the industry smooth, positive, and memorable.

I believe every performer deserves the very best and I’m here to help make that happen.

We bring quality master classes direct to all TEACHERS and also arrange INDEPENDANT OPEN workshops for Beginners to Adults
